I have a 1992 S10 with a 4.3L non vortec, and would like to know if it would be hard to put in a vortec engine from a 1994 blazer.

Not sure the TBI computer has all the CPI controls (like for the IMTV, for eg), and I does it have these connectors?
You will need the CPI fuel pump and (preferably) the fuel lines, otherwise those need to be adapted to fit the rear of the CPI's intake manifold.

He's going to have to run his TBI intake and injector, if that's what his truck has now. The ECM's aren't even close, plus the 94 ECM is set up for a 4L60E and he has a 700R4

...I thought the `92's had the 4L60E ?

I thought the idea was to put in the CPI engine, and run it as a CPI.

Unless they put some in, at the end of the model year, it should still be a 700R4
He never even said it was a CPI motor, by 94 even the TBI motors were vortec, and if it was coming out of a 2WD most likely it is TBI
This is another case of not enough info, so we all have to guess at the answers
