Vibration after changing u joints in driveshaft

I have a 2wd 5speed I just replaced the u joints in . When I put the driveshaft back in and took it for a drive I noticed a vibration inside the whole cab starting at roughly 45 mph and up . The vibration continues when I let off the gas to slow down . I crawled underneath the truck n checked for play, and found I could move the transmission up and back down when pushed up on the front of the driveshaft . I’m wondering if it’s just the driveshaft needing rebalancing/ or replaced ,or if it’s the output driveshaft bearing/ bushing, and if there should be any play at all in tranny when pushing up on driveshaft. Just trying to figure out before I start sinking money in replacing driveshaft and it being something with the rear components of the transmission.

Why did you replace the joints to begin with?
If you can push the transmission up, you need to check the mount. Did you install the u-joint in the same orientation as the old one…meaning the zero in the same position as the old one?

Yes I marked the driveshaft on front and back and the yoke and I put back exactly how it was taken off

There was slop in the drivetrain when would let off the gas or get back on it

Yes and and the bolt was tight but the bushing or whatever it is between the tranny and the crossmember it’s bolted to is where it was allowing it to go up and down
Get a new one.
Were the u joints free and smooth after installing them?

Yeah I checked them before I put it back on the truck . I was just wondering if I had maybe damaged the drive shaft , because I did beat on it a lil bit gettting the old ones out . There was some of the plastic retainer I didn’t get burnt all the way out
That's why you use a press or bench vice.
As suggested, get a new trans mount. Don't buy the cheap ones, they are terrible. Spring for a GM part or go with a polyurethane, though the latter will make you feel more engine vibrations.
I knocked my old joints out with hammer and socket, ended up with a bad vibration like yours. Ended up sending the driveshaft to a big machine shop for rebalance. Hammering out the joints is a bad idea.
Mine developed a really bad vibration suddenly. Sounded like an airplane was landing on my truck. Took new U joints, cross over bearing and rebuilt drive shaft to fix it.
bushing was allowing it to go up and down
have you replaced the trans mount yet?

Put rear axle on jack stands . Watch drive live for runout while running in gear at slo speed.

Vibration is always an out of balance issue. In this case you imply it starts After your intervention. Hence I'd look for something not done quite rite or slightly out of place.(weights knocked off driveshaft during repairs?)Broken engine/ trans mounts can only cause problems if they allow gross changes in driveshaft angles, (usually not possible on stock setups)
