I timed it and boy was I off! It actually took just over 5 minutes to fill. So the spees is there but I am guessing I should still use the filter relocators. The compressoers are rough looking as they have been in the rain and other elements for years.

The decision to rebuild or replace really comes down to what is specifically wrong with your compressors. If they need too much, and have been abused too badly - it may be better to start all over again. What you're mostly concerned with is the viability of the electric motor. As long as the motor is in good shape - the compressor is almost infinitely able to be rebuilt. All it takes though is to burn a winding, and its all over. If you inspect the motor and see any burn marks, rebuilding isn't worth it - and new units should be installed.

I live in Kingston Ontario Canada, it's between Toronto and Ottawa, I recently bagged my 1999 S-10 and I have what I believe is a 5gallon tank, I ordered the VIAIR 380c Dual Pack from airassisted.com located in toronto, they should be delivered to me today via UPS, I am glad to hear the positive feedback about VIAIR and I thought the name Lance Martz looked familiar as I was a long time subscriber to Mini Truckin'!
my question to Lance is what size fuse do you reccomend using inline from the battery positive to the relays? it says they draw 32/35 amps so would a 30amp fuse be fine? I am also running 12Gauge power wire from battery to relays, will this setup give it the juice it needs? thanks for your help

Yup, same guy - only a few years later. Thanks for remembering!

If you have a total draw of 32/35 amps, then you cannot fuse under 32/35 amps. You should be running a 40 amp fuse.

For wire gauge, you should always run on the safe side. Use this chart to determine the gauge wire size you need: http://viaircorp.com/VIAIR_wiregauge_chart.pdf

For your use, I would use four or six gauge power wire so you have no power quality issues in the future.

12ga is too small , you need ( 8ga ) and fuse should be 40amp

Viair Is Officially The Best Company I Have Ever Dealt With. I Just Got Off The Phone With Lance Ordering My Rebuild Kits For Two Very Old Very Beat 450c's And I Have To Say He Is The Most Knowledgeable Friendly Person I Have Ever Dealt With. I Have Been Working In The Motrocycle Industry For Years, And If Everyone Was As Easy To Deal With As Lance My Job Would Be Easy As Cake. Huge Thumbs Up For Lance And Viair, I Will Never Deal With Another Compressor As Long As I Live!!!
