anyone know the sizes of the vacuum lines on a 88 2.5 vin e? I looked through dozens of threads and found 7/32 & 5/32. I replaced one line with 1/4, since that’s what the gauge at the store fit. Maybe it was worn out? Just been having some bucking when it’s cold for the first block of driving. Goes away after it’s warm so i figure it’s a vac line somewhere

Any opinions on switching the hard lines to silicone vacuum lines? Saw many posts years ago saying not to touch them/rubber lines don’t work, then saw another that said the silicone lines work. Just trying to give my truck a nice tune up after all the resto crap I did

I use good to quality silicone wherever possible for longest service life. Applies to cooling system hoses also. Former nuke submarine tech informed that's all that's used on those powerplants for the same reason.
