Hi,

Ive got a tired 2.8 with 700r4 tranny in my 86 s-10 4x4. I plan on swapping it this summer to a 350. For tranny and transfer case what should I do? I have a th350 but that requires an expensive adapter. Could I get another 700r4 and bolt it up? Is there a difference in the transfer cases?

Also I have tbi on my blazer now, If any what parts could i reuse to make the 350 tbi?

You will need a V8 700r4 with an output shaft for the 4wd. That should allow them to bolt together.

TBI compatibility: The wiring harnesses should be very similar, get the wiring diagrams for both your vehicle and the donor engine. This way you can mate the two harnesses into each other.

Your 2.8 motor mounts(frame) will work with the conversion mounts(engine).
