Can you just bolt cavi seats right into the truck without switching tracks? like just drill 4 new holes in the cab for cavi seats and just bolt them in???
you could, but its just easier to change the racks, its only 4 bolts and a spring if you own a 94-97, 98+ you only drill 2 holes compared to 4 into the floor of your truck, when i put in my cavi's I about fell in love with them for the 20 bucks i paid for them

i just finished my cavi seat swap a little bit after thanksgiving and if i can remember right i dont think that you can just drill four holes because i layed em in with the racks still on and it didnt sit level because the floor boards are diffrent in the s10 and the cavi, the rack change isnt to hard i did the whole swap my self and from takin the s10 seats out and bolting the cavi ones in took me about 2 days work, and i had school so it shouldnt take to long if u try hard

well good luck with it i hope it all works out for ya

Hello can anyone help me out where is that l bracket that they are talking about and do you use your seat belt latch from your s10 seats on the cavalier ones.

First thing you need to do is take the seat track off of the S10 seat. When taking it off, remove the nuts from all 4 corners, and take the nut off the L bracket on the side without the seat belt.(bracket bolt pictured below)

The L bracket is the rear mounting point for the seat track on the original s-10 buckets. There are 2 bolts that connect the seat track to the L-bracket on each side, if you feel in between the padding on the bottom of the seat and the seat track you will feel two bolts there, remove those and you will free the rear part of the seat from the L-bracket.

The L-brackets are circled in red (this is a pic after the track is taken off of the s-10 seat.) This view is of the bottom of the seat with the top of the pic being the fron of the seat and the bottom being the rear.
