I like the audiobahn, i have a pair and will never change. What ohm are your subs and i had a hifonics z400 and wasn't impressed with it at all. Never delt with crutch so i don't know about that. Keep in mind it is better to overpower them than underpower them. I am overpowering my subs by like 150 watts.

Hifonics, all the way. It's rated as 600 rms and will do probably 600-650 rms. The Crunch is rated as 800 rms and will do probably 400-500 rms at best. I had a V-300 before, it was rated to push 350 rms. After playing with many different amps on the same sub/box setup I would guess that I would be lucky to have been getting 200 rms from the Crunch. They are cheap stuff (but real reliable, mine got ran at 2 ohm mono for many many months by the kid I sold it to, now it still kicking to this day, about 5 years later).

I believe they are owned by the same company but manufactuerd by their own companies.

For example: American Pro, Teknique, and Volfenhag are made by the same company, and all their products are the sam but tagged differently.

Orion, Precision Power, Directed Audio, Viper, a/d/s and about 10 other companies are all owned by one big company (Directed Electronics) but left to build their own stuff.

i was suprised when i clicked in here that i saw good brands, i was expecting another crutchfield system being put together smart thinking sctt. hifonics and crunch r both owned by maxxsonics, but they are made by 2 different. crunch is pretty much a generic hifonics, but go for the hifonics, u wont be dissapointed.
