hey i got a 168k 2001 s10 with the l43 engine. Its flex fuel but lm planning on swapping the pump because its on its way out. Im planning on just using an oem one but before I do ive been contemplating putting a turbo on it but keeping it as a daily driver. I wanna definitely get 200k out of the vehicle but at this point the lack of horsepower is killing me. I wanna hear what some of yall think about turbocharging and it still keeping its reliability.
Id like to know how much boost have people ran thru it without blowing the motor

Can be done but I have my reservations of an engine with that mileage being able to handle it - Would suggest freshening the engine. Compression check with a leak down test will tell you more.

From what i have seen if you go with an fmu you could run 4-6 psi, if you go with injectors, fuel pump, and tune you cold probably hit 8 psi, then add methanol and you should be able to hit 12 psi. I agree, refresh the motor first.
