I agree Shawn, I think we need a restructure, maybe more fun family type things. I loved when we went bowling a couple years ago. We need people to show for meets, maybe pick new locations, I loved when we went to Bloomington and Hooters, and Clinton to Ted's Garage,we don't always have to meet in Decatur, maybe Champaign, open up our things to do options. Maybe every other month when there is no car shows we do something like paintball(as long as they have rental stuff)or bowling or w/e. Hell, lets have one big meet a summer, go too Gateway and something of that caliber.
We need to go to more shows and make a prescience, who cares if your vehicle is "show worthy" or not, just shine it up and enter it in.
I think we have become less of a club and more of a group ya know.....

Am I out of line?

josh your on the right track. i know personally i am one of the ones that slacked off.. as soon as i got rid of the first gen and didnt have a regular truck anymore i totally lost interest. but after the past few months i now have a mini truck again ( half bagged even tho it was fully bagged when i got it) and will have a fullsize again here in the next month or so... camp and drag is another show to look at going too and i know my "big" trip for this summer is to goto relaxed atmospheres all star event down in tennessee and will almost be making a trip out to vegas for sema.. theres alot of smaller shows around. i also have inside news that there will be a show towards the end of the summer put on by lou santiago (spike tv) and a certain shop from southern il that will be drawing a big crowd.. i say open it up to fullsizes,4x4's a little bit of everything even ( nicely done) ricers.

Its always been open pretty much, and I don't mean to point any fingers at anyone, I mean honestly, if we did more things would you of kept interest in the "club" even though you didn't have a truck?
I agree with Shawn, we should all meet and discuss the future, come with a fully loaded gun, think of ideas and ways to keep interest in the club. I know I've slacked on the t-shirt department, not this time, I will get shirts ordered if we want them.

yeahh, i def agree with all you guys. although i do enjoy meetin up every month in decatur, it def gets stale quick. we just need to do more things together... even if its just like chill out at someones place, grill out and help each other with little projects on our trucks.

and i'd love to go to more shows as a club. i know sometimes its hard financially on people, but i know i'd be game to even help each other out on entry fees. that way we could all get in, get a like awning set up, chill, grill out, make some new friends, see all the other sweet rides. all that jazz. like this year i was down for camp and drag, but i didn't want to just go camp and chill without knowin a single person. lol

i dunno, i think a nice meet to sit down and discuss it all would be sweet.

I'm agree with ideas posted, but we need to meet. It's easy to give ideas on here, but it shows you want in if you show up for meets. Not pointing fingers at anyone. Even I missed a couple lately.

The survival of this club is expansion into other genres of vehicles. And to do more things as a club. I am partly responsible for the meeting in Decatur crap and not coming up with any new ideas.

I want this to last and survive. We can have something great and cool. i want to see that, and see the day when people talk about TMS as a cool club with alot of members.

Later,
Shawn

Sounds like the winter break may be over soon?

I'm down with a serious "summit" type meet. Bring the ideas, notes, comments, gripes...hold nothing back. Anything can be up for change...hell, even the name if we can all agree. Of course, I do mean ALL of us.

Should we tentatively set something up for February or March?
