its a 92 sonoma 2wd v6 4.3. It needs a new starter so i put it on jacks today to take it off I got one bolt out but the one closest to the control arm wont budge. Its really close to the control arm so i cant get a breaker bar to it. Is there any trick i can use to get it out?

I have the same ride. I used a crows foot to break it loose.

When I had the other bolt out, I loosened the one
you refer to and wiggled it out by moving the starter
while it was coming down. It's tight as hell, I know,
but if you take your time it will come out. Once it does
and the starter doesn't want to clear, it's because you
didn't loosen the converter inspection cover allowing the
the nose cone of the starter to clear. Once this is done
you pull the starter forward and up at an angle. The
nose cone clears and then you drop it with the
front pointing up at about 1:00 or 2:00 position and
bring the nose cone down first.

It's a PITA, but it will come clear.
