I have a 94 s10 (salvage/rebuilt) with I'm thinking a 4l60e but possibly the 700r4. My granddad says it shuddered in reverse on level ground. I don't know if he let it move at idle, gave it gas or put his foot on the brake (most likely because it will reverse fairly fast at idle). Mechanic said he thought it could be drum brakes but no springs are broken. It's find in drive. I can not recreate this problem.
i have a 87 2.8 that used to be a 4 speed, was swapped with a 5 speed before i purchased it, how do i figure out what i have? would like to eventually out a 350 in it and want to know if i can useit, was told the trans wouldnt bolt to a 350 yet ive heard that the 2.8's can have a 700r4 mated to it?? isnt that the same bell bolt pattern?
