here is the list I use. And it still says Standard Ratio. I know it's zero help. haha

what other codes do you have? Its a pain in the rear end (hardy har har) but you might have to flip through them all.

That's what I did and I found two contradictory codes, and I haven't gotten an answer yet to which one will be correct.

its the same as th GT4. its a 3.73

Hi I have a 96 manual with the 2.2 I put a new clutch and slave cylinder on, its the Internal slave cylinder but when I put it back together it still feels like I have no clutch. Also when I'm driving and I get up to speed in any gear and I stop accelerating and just cruzeit feels like its slipping or surging any help?

Just a few quick questions I have an 87 s10 pickup 2WD with the 2.5L and a T4 stock.
I just rebuilt the engine and beefed it up. I was told to get a T5 trans and put 4.11 gears in the rear. I have found the trans and I think I'm good with that. The next issue is the rear. My RPO code says GQ1 (Axle, STD Ratio) GU6 (Axle Rear, 3.42 Ratio). What size rear do I have? Meaning 7.5 or 7.62? or are they basically the same as far as gear sets are concerned? Also I'm looking for 4.11 but can only really find 4.10... again pretty much the same thing? Any big losses there? I'm looking on NationDriveTrain.com and DriveTrainSpecialists.com. I know about Summit and Jegs already but I'm just really confused about what to get. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Hey all !! I just changed the transmission on my 2003 S10 ZR2 it seems to have a hiccup while driving, the tranny I put in seemed to have fluid in the torque converter but the the tranny itself was dry. Can anyone tell me how much tranny fluid I should put back in and what type? I have put in 5 quarts of DexVI but, according to the Chiltons (Haynes) guide it should take 12 but does that include what has to go into the torque converter? Thanks !!

need some trans measurement help..... i have the 95 m50 5spd from a 2wd s10. what other trans is the same size in length so it will still bolt from my trans mount to a 350. im not 100% sure if i am going to keep it a 5spd or if i want to go auto with it. and would the nv3500 have the same bolt location as well.

he i have a 94 gmc sonoma RWD with a 2.2 and a t5 transmission.. it just happened recently but now once i get into 3rd gear and up it sounds like theres a bag of wrenches bangin around and makes the whole truck shake like an animal.. any ideas on what it could be? my thoughts are either the tranny or rear end.. any input is much appreciated... :racing:

10 bolt axle shaft bearings and seals

I have a 92 pickup with a 2.8L that I recently swapped the rear end out because I lost 1 and a half teeth on my ring gear. I left the stock brake setup in place and swapped only the pumpkin and tube setup, and kept the stock axle shafts. I dont know the stock ratio, but the new one is a 4.10. Yes, my engine revs a bit higher now but I needed transportation.

This was my first time doing a rear end. I did not think of checking the bearings for the axle shafts. The bearing seals seemed fine, but the passenger seal is leaking all into my brand new drum brakes.

I cant seem to find the seals and bearings, the sizes and prices are all over the place. How do I know what to get and where to get it?

I have a 97 p-up,4wd,auto,Z-71 with a V-6, that needs a trans.What years will fit.I was told only 96 & 97 are the same.I find that hard to beleive.I just Bought the truck and I love it,but it has over 200k on it and dont want to shell out 2 grand for a rebuild.can someone help me out?

I have 94 4wd S-10 ...4.3L V-6, 7" suspension lift, 33x12.5's, etc.... with a 4L60E that I need to replace. My financial situation forces me to buy used instead of having mine rebuilt. My question is, what years and types of trucks have tranny's that will fit mine? I was told that the only difference in the 4L60E transmissions is that some have a 4 bolt and some have a 6 bolt housing that bolts up to the transfer case. I realize that I could take mine out and see which type I have but I'm hoping to purchase my new tranny before I take my old one out and be able to swap em asap. Any and all info is MUCH appreciated!

Re: what rearend will replace 1982 s10 with v8 swap

i have a 1982 s 10 with a 350 with a 4 speed but i need a possi track that can handle the power instaed of a diffrental rearend wat would fit under right with out any promblems besides a ford part its a chevorolet so wat would fit

ok so this may be a dumb question but i havent found anybody that could give me an answer yet so.. here goes. I bought a rearend from a '94+ truck with 3.73s to replace the 3.08 rearend in my '89 truck so i could do the disc brake swap (since it wont work on the 1st gen rearends) and i get 3.73s in the process; the '94+ rearend i got has a big round thing on the front at/around the yoke... is it a balancer or what? im not sure if the truck it came out of was a 2.2L, 4.3L, auto, manual, etc. but ive never seen it on any of the 1st gen rearends but ive seen it on other 94+ rearends but not every one has it. just curious as to what it is

I have a 87 s-10 blazer 4x4 with a 2.8 well the flex plate was cracked so i replaced it now my tranny won't shift out of first. I really need some help its driving me nuts and yes i replaced all the tranny fluid

Help! I own a 1983 s10 chevy Blazer. The 4x4 didn't work. I installed new vaccum hoses and tried it out. It didn't work, I heard some grinding and I stopped. I looked under the rig and saw 2 holes in the front differential leaking oil. Can anyone help me with info on how to replace the front differential?
