I bought a 1992 Extended cab S10 With the 4.3 and a 5 Speed And was wondering how to identify what transmission it is and what the gear ratios of it are thanks

should be a Borg warner T5
look for a separate bellhousing

I didn't think they put them behind the 4.3's? If they did I'd sure like to have one.

I was thinking the same. 4 and 2.8 had T5 but 4.3 was NV3500.
But like DD says if it has a separate bellhousing it's a BW.
