Can anyone help me identify then transmission in my S10? I just entered the S10 game and I’m tinkering. I have a 1992 base model with the 2.8 V6. It’s a 5-speed transmission but I don’t know the nomenclature. Thank you! Looking forward to this build.

Welcome to the Forum.
There should be a label in/on the truck (glovebox, IIRC) that has all of the truck's RPO codes on it. And, if all of the components of the truck are original, then the RPO will ID the transmission in it. The codes are a 3 character designation, and the transmisiions are in the "M" section of the codes. There should also be an ID tag somewhere on the transmission as well.
