I am looking at guying a 1994 S-10 Blazer.
The guy told me today that it only gets 2H or 4L.
He said that it is caused by 1 of 3 things.
Loose wire connection
encoder assembly
transfer case shift motor.

How likely would it be 1 of those things and how expensive and difficult would it be to repair these things.
Any help would be appreciated.

to change the motor that runs the 4x4 should not be hard to do. your best bet is to call the local bone yard to see if they sell that motor. i know i had to buy a t-case for a full size 96 tahoe.and the bone yard wanted 600.00 plus the old one
