I went and check on a trans filter for my truck today and i've known these guys sense my dad has been racing(in other words like brothers) and he said their are 2 different filters for the 4L60E their is a tall and a short. i'm guessing mine wouuld be the short but the only way to know for sure is to take it off al look at it but i'd rather have the filter siting their waiting to be put back in and not siting open for a half hour so if anyone is 100% sure witch one it is it would be a great help thanks yall

just look at the bottom of the pan.
if the pan is flat = short
if the pan is steped = long.

Ya Finally going to change the tranny fluid. When do you want to start on my exhaust 5:30 ish just have to run home and change then grab some parts. From the green store of course.

98 was the split year for everything except F bodies (they still run the shallow filter). Your sig says 02, so you will have the deep pan. The GM part # is 24208576.
