I have 4 keys to my 1994 S-10 Bazer.
1: Ignition
2: Drivers door
3: Passenger door
4: Rear window/tailgate.

I'd like to buy 3 matching locks to put on the drivers, passenger door and on the tailgate.
GOAL: to go from 4keys to 2.

Can any one point me in the right direction getting the 3 lock mechanisms??

Thanks,
Rob

Rob,
since the beginning of time if you needed a key made, you called a locksmith.
same holds true today.
thats an easy job for any locksmith to get you squared away in no time.

I'm not following your reply?
I don't need keys made, I need 3 matching locks.

Do you mean purchase 3 matching locks from a locksmith?

Or do mean mean the locksmith will match all the tumblers from one lock to another two?

A locksmith should be able to 'reset' the lock cylinders to match each other.

Looks like I needn't buy a lottery ticket today.

After several calls to Locksmiths, most of them only do residential, there's no magic wand to an easy fix. That round metal you see outside the door with the key cylinder inside......well that is crimped and takes a special tool to remove and to install the new lock cylinder.
A tool I do not have.

The locksmith also said he would need to remove the door panels etc as well and so the labor will be costly.

I asked him if I could drill the old cylinder out from the outside and then remove the round clip on the outside, he
said he would not suggest that.

He's been in business for 25 years......and he didn't seem too keen on taking the project on.

So for now, it's still four keys......tomorrow is another day:(

The special tool you need is called a flathead screw driver, there’s only a C clip holding the cylinder in, take said special tool, pop off clip, pull out and disconnect cylinder. Tail gate is similar only there is a plate with (4) 10 or 11mm bolts hiding the lock assembly. Take an hour or so of your time and pop them bad boys out.

Here's a link to a youTube video showing the door lock cylinder replacement. It's not terribly difficult, but will take some time if you can make it a DYI. The video is for a pickup, but IIIRC it will be very similar or the same for the blazer doors.

This link is for another video (quality is um, OK) for the rear gate cylinder - it's easier than the doors.

And here's a link for an eBay lock cylinder kit for the Blazer - with this one it appears all 3 are keyed alike. There maybe others, and you may want to shop around for other possibilities; this is for reference only. FYI, I have no affiliation or experience with any of the eBay sellers.

I just checked Craigslist on a 200 mile search and no one is parting out any locks and keys........

Word must be out.....🔑......I need one....🔑.......and they're playing hard to get.

I honestly got sidetracked trying to fix the power door locks and that was a crash and burn..........💥

then the rattle from the rear window striker got my attention.......so I've been remiss on keeping up

with this thread........
