tire's

Hey Y2K I have a very similar post up in the second gen forum because I want to put some big fatties on my stock SS rims. If anyone answer's me I will be sure to let you know. I am looking to put some 265's on the rear, and leave 235's on the front.

re: harder or softer

The harder the tire is the less traction you will have. I had my tires at 40 psi and had no traction at all, but man can she ever do a brake stand. The stock reading for my SS is 32 psi. If you want good traction keep the tires soft, and if you want to spin the $hit out of them to do a good brake stand keep them hard.

the customes ive done 255 to big on the front witha 2 3 drop rubs bad at full turn and to much sidewall.

245 45 16 look sweet. but the 225 50 16 front and 255 50 16 rear look sweet also

the 265 50 16 look better in rear and the 295 50 16 look massive in rear

2 3 drop i would go 245 50 16 in front at most. 255-55 will rub up top on the fenderwells but what do i know right

rear rubber

I just got back from my tire dealer and he said he can get 265/50 on my stock 16 by 8 rims which are on the Extreems and ZQ8 trucks. I'm most likely going to put 265/50 on the back and leave the 235's on the front.
