what size tire can i run on my 17s up front to keep them from rubbing the wheel wells when i lay out

i had 18x8.5s on my 98 sonoma with 215-35 tires and slammed i sorta hit the top nut on the inner fender

so u can run prolly 45s at the most

I'm Running 225/45/r17 on my truck with no issues. But next year I'm running 235/40/r18 (got New Wheels)

I don't think they makes 35 series tires for 17" wheels.. You will dent rims with that thin of tire

225/40/17 is what I run. Take out the top nut on the inner fender and you'll be good. It rubs a bit but not much.

I'm running 215/40/17 on an 8" wide rim and no problem. I have hit hard bumps and everything and all wheels are still in perfect condition. I might be lucky though. I can lay it out and still have room to the fenders. The tires look kinda slim but they're good enough for me.

yeah, im running 215/40/17s...looks like i should be able to go 225/40s and still be good...its on a 7 in rims

18s 35series rainy night pothole drunk 30 mph

couldnt see it full of water it sucks

Alright I have 235/40's and I am just wondering how far I am gonna be from laying out......I'm not against cutting a window in my fender for the tire to clear, but would prefer not to since my WHOLE engine bay is painted the same color as my truck......you know show points matter big time to me.
