What is the advantage to getting a lower temp thermo, and how do you install it? Also, what temp should I get? Thanks,

i havent installed mine yet. tryiing to find out if my computer will try and heat back up to 195(cant find any chips for 95 2.2 5speed)

the guy basically told me my heater wouldnt work as well and some other BS. basically he treated me like a ricer because i'm workin with a 4cyl. he did ask me if i had a chip. i told him it didnt matter cuz i wanted to try it out and that i couldnt find an aftermarket chip..(the guy was about 55years old...)

5 bucks is 5 bucks. if it doesnt work out i pull it out. no biggie!

I have a superchip for my 94, and the guy I bought it from had a 95 2.2 5sp... I don't think www.superchips.com has it listed for a 95, but it's supposed to work (should since the engine is the same). I'd call them if you want to know for sure.

www.fastchips.com for a chip
heres and email from them

"Hello,
Those 2.2L trucks normally
pick up 11/12 hp at the wheels. I
also remove the top speed limiter
and firm up the shifts for the
automatic transmission trucks.
Throttle response will be improved
noticeably. Fuel economy normally
improves slightly.
The chip sells for $159.00
+ freight. If you decide to order
one, please call us @ 918-446-3019.
We take Visa & Mastercard.
