Actually, I used PPG acrylic enamel for this one. With the super shine additive.
GM code 11 white.
I had to mud it on to keep the nasty orange peel away.
It was pretty hot yesterday, so I wanted to be sure the paint "flowed" out properly.
Over a large area like a bed side, sometimes Rustomagic will leave dry spots in hot weather...
I'm going to try and do the other side today.
It's pretty bush when you don't have a proper facility to paint...
I guess it's better than a hotel parking lot or Walmart lot - Harley (!!)
The weirdest part - I remember going to all sorts of work to make sure that dust wasn't an issue.
Like using a spray booth, wet the floor and surrounding area, blow out all of the cracks and undercarriage, tack rag etc.
Now? Outdoor "spray booth" - cars, trucks and buses going buy, dirt parking lot and (who cares?) go for it.
No dust, paint flows excellent and the results are - well, you can see.
The paint looks as good up close as in the pix.
Been waiting for cooler weather - like where the hell is winter anyway?
It's been in the mid eighties here.
