I have the engine in and I am connecting the wire harness. I noticed that there are, what appears to be, two temp gauge ports on the block. I have the coolant temp sensor in the thermostat housing and I have another in the front area of the right bank in for the gauge. As I was hooking up the harness I noticed an identical port on the rear area of the left bank. Any ideas as to what actually goes there? Thank you.

The ones on the block are for draining coolant. I’m not sure they would be deep enough for senders. Those are usually in the heads.

I am sorry they are in the heads not block. Just above and in between 1&3 and the the other is 6&8

Just spares holes. The heads are interchangeable sided to side.

Great thank you for that. I can just put a bung type nut it then to close it?
