I'm not a big fan of the rim tucking, but if you do, I would make sure it looks smooth, kind of like the X fender flares, which go below the normal wheel well, but do a really good job of being subtle, and not like the Honda Insight (clunky piece covering the wheels)...

re:

This may be a dumb questio... but was is skirting and what would that do? Are you talking about cutting out sections of the fender?

hell yeah...my wheels camber pretty good when i lay the truck out.i love that look.ford rangers do it the best.

skirting the fenders is adding sheetmetal to the bottom of the fender to make them come down further.

Hey bro - I've skirted my 89 S-10 2" and it looks sweet (may she rest in peace for now), (I tuck tire on a 6-8 drop). just don't do a half-assed job. If you want to do it right there is a lot of cutting involved - keep the body line over the bed side the same thickness. Its really hard to explain...you have to cut the top of the wheelwell off, cut it in half, section peices of the remaining wheelwell out, add filler panels, do some metal massaging and finish off.
There's an article in the 1997 Best of Truckin that explains it (my first truck magazine).

Peace,
Spyda
