I wanna change my tail pipe on my truck cause the stock one is all bent up and crap. I don't know if I want a chrome tip or a turndown, what do you guys suggest? What looks the best?

If your running the pipe behind the tire get POLISHED STAINLESS STEEL it will look better longer. The tire will blast away the STEEL CHROME tips over time and they rust. :thumbup:

I have mine at 45 degree pointing down. Some guys thing it's (RICER) LOOKING but they forget that WE (AMERICANS) STARTED THIS SH$$!!!!!! with putting shinny things at the end of the exhaust. Don't let them take that glory that was born in the USA on AMERICAN made CARS!!!!. :headbang:

just make sure you don't shoot hot exhaust on anything. brake lines

I used have a Gibson cat back with the polished stainless tip. It exited behind my rear pass. tire and the tip got really really fubared from all the crap on the roads. Kinda got tired of seeing one side with a pipe and the other without, so I got out the Sawzall and lopped it off a ways back so it just turned down after the rear axle. Now it sounds better and looks better, too, IMO.

I get a pic tomorrow, but I had my muffler guy just weld a chrome tip pointed straight back on the Blazer. It looks a lot better than before. He only charged me $10 for the tip and the work. I got a rolled lip tip. It really cleans up the rear of the truck. I think it looks better than pointed downward. You'll see when I get the pic up.

I bought a crappy turn down from Pep Boy's, and its turned all kinds of nasty, i'm thinging of exitting before the rear tire, but i'm still unsure. If i have a winter driver, i'm planning on dropping a v8 in.

I cut mine off at the spare tire and put a turndown on it so it would clear the roll pan and it looks pretty good.

personally, i like the dual slash cut chrome tip comming straight out the back.

dont get me wrong, I love the duals, but it was cheaper and easier to cut it off at the spare and put on a turndown.
If I was buying a new cat-back exhaust I would go with the duals.

My tailpipe on the stock exhuast system.
It cost $10 for the tip and to weld to pointing straight back

when I do put a complete exhaust on it,
I'm going to put duals like my fullsize has.

(02REDXBLAZE) The duals look very NICE. I wanted duals BAD I love that look but on my BLAZER after I dropped it 3 shop looked at it and said there's NO room and it can't be done. One guy said 1" pipe may work but he needed me to sign a wavier it would have ran too close to the gas tank and brake lines.

The other way you can run it is come back to back of gas tank and T oof to passenger side, accross the back with a hard 90 to a tip....just an idea.......
