does anybody know what the stock horsepower rating for a 350 outof an 85 iroc would be, if they even made them in that year, and also the stock horsepower rating from a similar car with a 305? you guys know what i mean, thanx

:bs: I am pretty sure that you could not get a 350 in any 3rd gen F-body until 1987. Is it TPI or carb? 305HO, carb was 180HP; 305 standard, with carb was 155HP; and the 305TPI were 200HP. I may be off by 5-10HP, but these numbers should be close. If it is a 350 from an 87 or newer, I think they were 225HP with TPI until 88 or 89(?). After that, they went from MAF to SD TPI's, and they also got dual cats. I think the 90-92 TPI 350's were 245HP. Good luck.

hey guys what would be a good car to pull a 350 out of and get asome decent horsepower with alot of potential...??

a corvette. like a LS1 or LT1...maby a vortec 5.3 they bold almost right in

It depends on how much work you want to do to get it in and running, and how much you want to spend. Do you want fuel injection or just a good 350 for a carb? If you want an easy swap, look for a 350 TPI(RPO code of L98) from a Camaro/Firebird or from a mid-late 80's Vette, even without the TPI setup. The L98's had 225 -245 HP stock. They have roller cams from the factory. Plus they had a compression ratio of about 10:1 with 60cc heads. With 64cc heads, you would have 9.5+:1. Throw in a cam, a carb intake, and a decent exhaust and 300Hp is not far off. If you keep the TPI, you can make some good power and still get decent gas mileage. LT-1's and LS-1's are not cheap to work on or install.
