Couldn't bring myself to grind it out 6-8 inches. Too afraid of botching up the shaping of that big of an area. I did grind it out a bit wider then backfilled with epoxy and glass with some kitty hair on top of that.
My lexan door window setup is less than satisfactory. I made some plastic blocks that fit under the lexan and hold the window up in it's track. The blocks are held to the door with sheet metal screws. It's simple and the windows are removable but the blocks are too fiddley. It's too easy to drop them into the door and it's too difficult to take out the window. I really want a better method but haven't come up with a better idea yet. When I get a chance I'll try to post some pics. Can I get some more details on how you made and mounted your Lexan windows? I'm contemplating going that route as well. Doors are too heavy.

I built this Turbo Slant Six a couple of years ago but have been undecided where to plant it.

All details are up in the air at this point but I'm thinking of ending up with something similar to this one - which I have photochopped.

I'm WAY beyond that. But it was a consideration early on in the project.Locate Mopar/GM trans adapter for complete option if u haven't yet.
The paint isn't all stripped off, just sanded, and sanded, and sanded....How'd you go about stripping all the paint from that front clip? That diesel in it cracks me up. I'll bet you get some strange looks with it!
