I dug out my ghetto tube beading tool and made up a couple of tubes to join the radiator hoses.

I've got three 2-1/2 aluminum tubes for the intercooler plumbing. Dunno how I'm going to bead those. In the past I've welded an actual weld bead around the end of the tube. That worked but I'm not good enough to make it look good or even be uniform thickness.

In the past when I've needed tubes bent, I'd check out 2 places.
The hydraulic shops, and exhaust shops. They might be able to bend them up for you. 🤷‍♂️

EDIT: Reread the post you said "bead, not Bend" Lol.

For flat panels. Maybe I could modify it to make straight beads in tube. Eastwood's tube beader is $549

I found the same beader Jegs sells on eBay for $120. While I'm waiting on that to arrive I dragged the bed into the shop so I can start making a plan for chopping it up and welding it back together.

I'll use the laser again to mark the cut lines. White primer stripes will make it easier to see the laser lines as well as the cut lines I will draw on the metal.

I'm loving the laser. I just wish I could turn it up high enough to do the cutting too!

I'm certain I would make a hash out of it if I tried to TIG it. :cautious:
