Anyone know what the length is of stock spring shackles, bolt hole to bolt hole, on a 1997 S10? Mine is lifted, but I'm not sure just how much.

stock are like 4 to 5 inches. even if you had 8 inch shackles on your truck, you only get like 1.5 of lift from that. Let's try another way, post a picture of your shackles, and how long are they? This way we can look at them and say if they are stock or not.

I'm doing body work, and it sits pretty much level with the bed on. It's a '97, 2wd.

The shackles are 6 1/2 inches bolt to bolt.

It does on bumps, except with a couple hundred pounds in the bed. But I think they used stock length shocks. I'm ordering new shocks soon, for a 0-2" lift. Should improve the ride greatly. Any suggestions are welcome.
