Amen brother. Made the mistake of trying a set of Botch plus 4s in mine. Lasted about 3000 miles before they started missing. AC platinums are my 1st choice these days.badassminitrk said:dude...i don't know about the newer ones...they might come with Plat. plugs....but put whatever the mfg. had in there...and DON"T USE BOSCH...they are ****!!!!....SERIUOSLY....I amd running stock plugs and wires. on my 96 and she runs smooth...soo...it depends on what you are looking for...but don't go iwth SH!T....b/c it will bite you in the A$$
Stay with the stock plugs..As far as wires go...Aftermarket or factory. Aftermarket..Moroso,accel. As far as the knocking goes, it's highly unlikely that your wires would cause a knocking. even a bad plug would only cause a misfire..Not a knock...If its a knocking sound, check engine oil level. Dont have your sig in front of me but if the engine has some miles on it could be rod or crank bearing. A rattlyng is a sign of detonation. The air and fuel is lighting off before the spark plug fires shocking the piston and rod assembly. This can be caused by bad gas, timing out of spec (to far advanced) carbon build up (causes hot spots that light off the A/F mixture) Knock sensor is bad if that pertains.....Hope this info helps..Not flaming any other suggestions here.. Just some info..DnL said:What spark plugs and wires do you guys recommend? Could knocking of the engine while you accelerate be a problem of bad spark plugs? thanks
Good call, we got carried away on the plugs.02REDXBLAZE said:Stay with the stock plugs..As far as wires go...Aftermarket or factory. Aftermarket..Moroso,accel.
