had something similar to me happen while I was driving a heavily loaded E250 company van.
Lady changed lanes then decided to stop on a yellow. It looked like she was lost and was trying to read directions.
Lucky for me someone beside her saw this all happen. Turns out the witness was states attorneys secretary.
She was nice enough to give me her phone number when I rolled my window down and said"did you see what she just did?"
When state trooper came up to me I said"I know this doesnt look good for me right now" gave him the phone number and didnt say another word. 10 minutes later he handed me back my license and wrote the old biddy a ticket. She was cussing like a sailor.
Im guessing the same happened to you ?

Shouldn't you have already been on your brakes since she was entering under a yellow light or did you think both of you could make it through before it turned red?
I've seen this scenario many time where the first vehicle will make it through and the 2nd driver accelerates to also try getting through. As you found out, not a good idea. And illegal in most states.
The only time this happened to me I was the first vehicle approaching the light. An extended cab 4wd K2500 and the guy who tried following me had an import. When I realized I wouldn't make it before it turned red and stopped the import got 2 feet shorter. I took some rubbing compound to the bumper and hitch to remove the paint smudges.

Too bad defensie driving wasn't required before getting a license.....not that it would help if they didn't practice it.

I wish the police took my license saying it was suspended. My alcohol license application for work got denied as well for none payment of child support. Even though iv been paying since February of this year. And I renewed my license in March. They suspended it the 11th of this month. The lady at the child support inforcment office said they made an error.and i could have my license in a week if i signed this form agreeing that this kid is mine and I agree to pay a curtain amount a month. I told her to shove it. And that id see them in court. My lawyer said legally without a paternity test they shouldn't be garnising any of my wages. But like I said this town is full of crooks in uniform

There was a group of vehicles with us everyone made it through the light except us two. Because she slammed on her brakes. i saw her slowing down and I went to get in the right light I checked my side mirror I didnt see anyone. But to be safe I looked through my driver window and I saw a car in my blind spot. And I looked back up and I hit her it was to late we were on a street that was 45mph. I was doing 45 to 50mph when I slammed on my brakes i slid into her

Why were you changing lanes?? Didn't want to be behind her...or wanting to run the light? You were still following too close.

There's not much point in arguing the basics... I took one look at that picture and said "Odds are I know what happened here..." so I made a sarcastic comment about his hood latch...
I think his explanation & comments about child support say all that need to be said and discussion to the contrary ultimately changes nothing for anyone.

If you've been following this soap opera you also have seen the comments about repo's, a shady dealer, DMV, and lawyers, etc.
Not to mention the truck being of questionable origin. Part 97 (or earlier), part 02.
Not surprising to see a tailgating accident to boot.

Lol, no, usually I am more interested in technical discussions/topics, less so in what stupid thing x person did or how y person lacks any form of personal responsibility, or what bad decision z person made, because all of those traits are fairly ubiquitous these days... to the point of being boring.
None the less, all of that certainly fits with about what I'd expect...
