I have an oil leak that has started up quite suddenly. I have check the rear main and there is no oil on the flywheel on the transmission side, and no visible oil in the bell housing. I am going to degrease and clean the engine and look for the leak. Any other ideas?

Some guy before said that Chevy plug up a valve whole with a bolt because they no longer use that valve whole. It should be on your engine somewhere. Someone else might know exactly what I am talking about.

Sorry. The truck is a '96 4x4. I will check all of these things. A friend of mine said to check the PCV (Postive Crankcase Ventillation) valve. He said that if it is not working (shake to test - it should rattle) the engine will build pressure in the crankcase and then the weakest seal will blow. I will check that also.

Any more suggestions would be appreciated.
