Anybody ever think about the massive amounts of wire, BCMs and PCMs in modern vehicles. Submerging them in water is a really really dumb idea. Don't sell me on weatherpack connectors and watertight connections. They are moisture resistant now water proof.

Water above the rocker is to much. I understand waving on the bumper etc. so shorten up the intake pipes and move the maf and retune. Also, the cool air idea isn't a selling point either, we're talking intake restriction now.

I dont usualy go swimming with my jimmy, the snorkel is more of an insurance policy. Id rather have it and have a wet interior than not have it and hydrolock my engine.

ive been lookin for the same thing for my 95. ive got a tbi on mine and took off the air intake tubes(from filter to grill) tryin to simulate a cold air intake. but the idea i had was to take the part of the air tube that connects to the airfilter apart, mine is a 2 part tube, and gettin some flexable pipe and another filter and runnin it out the fender with some kind of set up that allows u to remove the snorkel and fill in the hole in the fender makin it look modified, yet stock. corect me if im wrong but it should all work out with a little ingenunity.

96superflow..thanks for the comps...been working on this for 10 years

He all, Im the dude who installed a SS105HF snorkel on a ZR2 Blazer..you can check out my thread there
I know its has been a long time since this thread has been active. But I have a 01 that I'm searching for a snorkel kit for, and yours is the best job I have seen yet. I've tried the links provided here, but can't seem to get to your build walk through. Is there any way you might provide a new link or share a post on here?
