I have a 94 s15 jimmy with an automatic transmission. What happens is when I push on the gas, the truck hardly moves. I have checked my fluid and added stop slip but it hasn't helped. Could a clogged filter cause this?

At this point I would go ahead and drop the pan to inspect, buy a cheap filter from the auto part store (no point in using OEM on a possibly bad transmission) and get it replaced, buy some cheap Dexron III or VI from Walmart and some more Lucas stop slip and see what happens.

Make sure you replace the filter seal, if that seal is bad it could cause issues.

If there was enough contamination to clog the filter chances are you need a rebuild either way.

its hard to give any real advice when so mujch is missing.
And auto trans just dont act up, they either work or they dont.
id be looking around to find a cheap trans shop and get ready to take yours to them

So when the issue was going on, it worked just fine in reverse but was slipping in drive and OD. I think when I added some more of the stop slip last night helped the problem go away for now, but if it happens again I'm going to pull it apart to figure out what caused it.

Yep sounds like stop slip is doing its job. Your transmission is on it's way out. Save up for a rebuild.

Transmission diagnostics go
Fluid check (level, color)
Filter
Band and TV cable adjustment if applicable
Pressures

If it doesn't move after this, I'd call it, it needs serious work. There's a guy on here named tranzman. Hopefully he blesses you with his staunch patience and broad knowledge

94 should have the 4L60E. It's possible that there is a solenoid that is failing or possibly a corroded pin into the bulk head connector at the transmission? Best way to tell is to have it diagnosed at a transmission shop. They'll check line pressure in all gears and check torque converter locking function. Probably the easiest way to get to the bottom of it.
