Once again the bolt holding the oil filter access door on the carbon fiber skid plate on my 2002 ZR-2 has disappeared. Does any know the proper screw size/type it takes?

Looks like maybe a Southco DZUS Lion Quarter-Turn Fastener.

Best bet would be a junkyard. That screw is used on most 4wd S-series.
BTW that skid plate is fiber reinforced plastic made to look like carbon fiber. GM wouldn't put skid plates as expensive as real carbon fiber on mass produced cheap trucks.
Sounds good when telling the story over a beer, tho.

Personally, I think I would replace it with a "normal" threaded nut clip and screw. For as often as you need to remove it, the convenience of the 1/4 turn fastener just isn't that big of a deal.

That's what I ended up doing. Still I'll keep an eye for one at Pull A Part.
