Hey Guys,
I was wondering do any of you with shaved door handles drive your trucks in the winter?

My truck has prolly one more winter after this one to be driven through but it is getting repainted next year so it would be a good time to get it done.

What do you do if your door ices shut?

Wait for a Thaw?

Good question! HAving just gone through an iced up truck I found that pushing in on the door first got the ice to crack around the door. But I still had to tug on the handle to get it opened.

If I didn't have the handles I might have had to go for the hair dryer, or wait for a thaw!

I grab the top corner of the doors where the weather strip is...even on my X...b/c you can easily bend sheet metal or break your handles....but on the shaved trucks...definetly pull there..

I've gone through 2 winters with my shaved doors, and yes it can be a pain when the locks freeze up. I always carry a small canister of lock de-ice with me so I won't get stuck like last year at Hooters LOL. So far so good this year though. I too use the top of the door to pull it open.
