Im going to start my SFBD on my 98 reg cab. Before I start I would like to see some good pictures of how everyone is tucking the 3x3 into there frame. I would really like to see some good pictures of the front. I will post my progress as soon as i start taring it down. It should be in the next few weeks.

well more like:

3x3 .250" wall... is over kill
3x3 .188" wall... is perfectly fine
3x3 .125" wall... is a little bit pussy footin it.

go for 2x3 1/4" wall.

much easier to work with size wise, yet plenty thick enough. I laid it inside my stock frame, welded it in, then cut the top of the old frame off

like this. 2x3 fits perfectly in the frame and gives you an edge to weld at the bottom without having to flip the frame or weld upside down.





and this is how you drop the rear cab mount and leave the bed mount portion at the original height. I only rebuilt the frame under the cab, the back section is still the stock frame with a notch and 6 link
