Yup, Electronic Spark Control (ESC) wire will be a tan wire with a black stripe. It will be all by itself outside of the wire harness. Just look for a lone wire with a black connector underneath the dash/carpet on the passenger side of the truck. HTH's

ok. thanks i found the wire. now what do i do to set the timing perfect.

set it to 0 degrees
then start and get warm
then unplug and then plug back in the tan wire
then reset timing. ?????

is this correct/ how long i need to leave unplugged?

Wish I could do that with my 95 4.3L , but it's OBDII and completely computer controlled.

Where do you look at when setting the timing? I don't see a timing pointer. And which groove do you mark on the pulley? I don't see timing marks only like three grooves.
