Anyone used Seafoam to clean out carbon deposits out of the engine? I just got done reading a huge thread...

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=534376&page=4&pp=20...

about it and sounds interesting. However there have been problems every now and then with nocking or strange noises afterwords.

Any advice on doing it or not doing it would be great,
Thanks,

yeah if you do as the directions say and and it to the brake booster line, about a half a can making sure that you don't kill the engine while poring the stuff, and then shut it off for an hour or so to let it work its magic. Then when you start it again it smokes like you think it just blow up. Then go drive it hard for a few miles and the smoke will dissipate, also it might help the map sensor but i doubt it.
