im gettin ready to sand my dash parts.
got a Q.
what are the steps i need to do to make it tunr out nice and smooth.
what grit should i use then sanding it?

I started out withh 100 then 120 then 200 , using a high build primer between the 120 and 200 and then sand till you like it then after that I sprayed one more coat of primer and used 220 to smooth it out then went on to painting .

Personally, using primer after the 200 is way too early. Start with a 120, 180, 200, 220, 320. Then use the high build primer. After each coat of primer, wet sand it with 400. Do this as many time as needed until your parts are smooth as glass. Then shoot your color coat. depending if its a metalic coat, the base color might feel rough. Wet sand the base coat with 1200 or higher and then clear coat it. You can, if you want, sand the clear coat with 2000 grit and polish it.
