Section I: Notice

Registration to this forum is free! We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below.

Although the administrators and moderators of S10Forum.com will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of S10Forum.com, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message. Any messages found to be in violation will be deleted without warning or explanation. - S10Forum.com staff has the final say over anything posted, if message is said to be in violation of the rules, that is final, no further discussion is needed about it.

All messages posted to the forum become the property of S10Forum.com, and as such S10Forum.com reserves the right to edit, reprint, distribute, or delete any posting for any reason and without prior notification or explanation to the author.

S10Forum.com also reserves the right to ban any user, at any time, for any reason with out notification.

It is the responsibility of the site member to check this page on a regular basis for any revisions in S10Forum.com's Site Rules before making any posts to any forum.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

Section II: Rules

1. Please keep your contributions relevant. The S10Forum.com forums are for people who have an interest in learning about maintaining and modifying the Chevy S-10. As so S-10 related topics will get the best response. - Please note, this does not limit the site to only S-10 related topics, however non S-10 related topics should be posted in the appropriate forum (see Rule #7).

2. Members are expected to conduct themselves in a civilized manner. That means showing courtesy and respect to ALL other members, moderators, administrators, staff, and guests. No cussing and absolutely no personal attacks, bashes, flames, or bigotry comments. Racial, sexist or religious remarks of any kind are absolutely forbidden; Comments against other groups based on sexual orientation, age, class, IQ, ethnicity, political preference, nationality or similar features are also strictly forbidden. - Not only is it a rule here, it should be a way of life.

3. New members (as well as older members), should be treated with respect (See Rule #2) even if they ask a question that has been answered a thousand times before, simply refer them to the proper thread that answers their question. -- Do not yell at the member to use the search button, this is very disrespectful and can give the site an unwanted reputation. -- Remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question if you don't know the answer to it.

Also, if you are new here, please use the Search feature to see if you can find the answer to your question.

4. Do not post any personal information (i.e. complete addresses, phone numbers, passwords, personal identification numbers, or any other information considered private) of yours, or others. This is for your protection, and the protection of others. - If you are trading information due to a purchase, please use Private Messages, E-mail, Instant Messaging, or another form of communication.

5. Each individual is allowed to have only one account. Duplicate accounts will be deleted. All accounts require a valid e-mail address. - E-mail verification is required before you can create an account. - For privacy reasons the forums are set up to allow you to hide your e-mail address from other members if you choose.

6. Do not post messages that violate Federal, State, or Local laws which include, but are not limited to, anything that violates a copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or is bound by NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).

7. Post to the forum that is most appropriate for the topic. We realize that sometimes a question can cross multiple topics and it isn't exactly clear where it would be best to post. Please use your discretion wisely. - When replying to a topic, make sure that your reply is relevant to the original message (i.e. Stay on topic).

8. Do not start threads if:

- You are simply responding to another thread that has been locked/deleted by a staff member.
- You are asking why a previous thread was locked/deleted by a staff member.
- You solely want to complain about the behavior of forum participants or content. In doing so, you are only creating another pointless thread.
- You have already posted the same question/comment in another forum. Do not Double Post!
- You want to send a message to a single member... Use a Private Message instead!
- You are advertising for a business, another tech-related site, forum. - If you want to advertise, please contact S10Forum.com Staff at: [email protected].

9. Do not post just to bump your thread. Odds are it will get your thread deleted and your account suspended. - This includes posting the same message again, in the same or a different forum, or posting just because the old thread is no longer on page one. - See rule #8.

10. Do not dig up old threads! If you want to continue a discussion from an old thread (older than 2-3 months), create a new thread and reference the old one in your opening post if necessary. There is very little reason to dig up an old thread. Chances are that something may have changed from that thread, in which it would be pointless anyway.

11. No spamming and/or flooding. This will result in immediate suspension of your account.

12. If a message is unreadable due to spelling and / or grammar, it may be removed. We don't ask you to be a 'Spelling Bee' champion, or an English Major, only that you post messages that are legible and make sense.

13. Each member is 100% legally liable for the contents of their posts, not the owners or staff of this site. If someone has a problem with a post and it does not violate any of the official rules of this forum, then you must take it up with the author of the post directly. If it does violate rules of this forum, then please use the 'Report Post' feature in each post.

14. No YELLING. For those that don't know, this is posting in all caps. It's rude and annoying, and if you do it, your post will be removed. - Posting in an extremely large font may also result in your message being edited, and/or removed.

15. No buying, selling, or trading anywhere with the exception of the Classifieds Section and Club Forums. If you want to advertise for your company or business, please see the S10Forum.com Advertisement Information noted in rule 8.

16. No posting of "Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread:" information in threads. People can scroll down for themselves to see whos on, we do not need it advertised elsewhere. Posting these stats will result in banning.

Section V: Group Purchase Forum Rules

In order to coordinate a group purchase, you must agree to abide by these rules. These rules will always be linked and/or posted under the group purchase forum for quick and easy reference. From this point forward, no group purchase may be coordinated on this site that do not conform to these rules.

1. If you represent a vendor, jobber, manufacturer, reseller or similar you may not coordinate a group purchase here. Free advertising and/or promotion of products in which you have a financial interest is not permitted on the S10Forum.com bulletin board at any time. For more information on our advertising programs, please refer to Section II, Rule 8.

2. If you do not represent a vendor, jobber, manufacturer or reseller and you wish to coordinate a group purchase and you intend to profit from it, you may not promote it here. Under this scenario you are acting as a reseller, not a facilitator, which misses the point of the group purchase. It is considered acceptable to receive one free product from a vendor for coordinating a group purchase. If more than one free product is available, please consider donating it to the site for use as promotional material.

3. Before posting any active group purchase here it must first be brought the attention of the Advertising Coordinator ( [email protected] ) for approval. NO EXCEPTIONS. Providing you fit the proper criteria, it is very likely it will be approved. Any group purchase that is posted without the prior approval of S10Forum.com will be promptly deleted.

4. For the protection of potential participants in a group purchase coordinated in these forums, you will be required to supply the advertising coordinator of S10Forum.com with your full name, forum username, mailing address, telephone number and email address and also the name, phone number and if applicable www address of the vendor that you will be dealing with. This information will only be provided at the request of potential group purchase participants or complainants. NO EXCEPTIONS.

5. All group purchase discussions should primarily be "promoted" and remain in the group purchase Forum. In this way all users and visitors to S10Forum.com can benefit from these discussions in a centralized and common location, regardless of the specific vehicle they own.

6. This site will assume no liability or responsibility regarding the group purchase, unless it is directly coordinated by this site. This means that all transactions occur through the group purchase coordinator and the participants. S10Forum.com will not get involved in resolving or moderating disputes, with the exception of interjecting where necessary if such activities "spill over" to the Forums.

7. Standard Forum Terms of Usage will apply to group purchase discussions and activities. If a group purchase coordinator is found to have perpetrated fraud or engaged in activity that is deemed to be a violation of the Terms of Service and Rules of this site , including falsifying their identity or role in coordination of a group purchase, their posting rights will be immediately revoked. Any activity that is determined to be fraudulent or illegal will be immediately reported to the proper authorities.

8. BUYER BEWARE! Use common sense here. Before getting involved in a group purchase, be sure to ask a lot of questions. What is the return policy, if any? Who is the check being made payable to? Who can I contact if I have a problem? Who am I actually buying the product from? Do you have to pre-pay to be eligible? If you are at all uncomfortable with the group purchase coordinator, do not participate. That will be the easiest way to avoid a problem.

9. DO NOT just make a thread to gauge interest.

Criteria Needed For Group Purchase Approval

* Full Name
* Forum Username
* Mailing Address
* Telephone Number
* Email Address
* Name of Vendor
* Phone Number of Vendor
* www address of vendor, if possible
* All information regarding the group purchase (minimum quantities, price, shipping, if the items will be drop shipped, etc)

Example:

"Minimum order of 10 (whatever)

Pricing to be as follows:
10-19 units ordered price will be $75.00 shipped
20-29 units will be $65.00 shipped
30+ will be $50.00 shipped
This will be shipped from the factory to your door via UPS."

All you will be required to post in your thread is the information from the above example, as well as information regarding the product(s) being sold, and how people can contact you if they have questions or a problem, and don't want to post them in the thread.
