Hello, i have a S10 2.2 DELUXE (Extended cab 1996)
And i'm experiencing some problems with the lack of power of it. Iwent to the mecanic many time and none of then could fix it.

If i Full throllet it she chokes and the RPM goes up but the speed increaces SLOWLY while choking...
I notice that the batery can't keep up while i have lights on or blinkers on.. The last time i checked the altenador was still good, if i turn off the lights the baterry chargers again, and when she chokes the batery goes down too, sometimes at idle on a stop she dies.
I need some help figuring out what could it be, so then i can fix, i was thinking it could be some problems with the
spark plugs or wires of it

• i checked the engine
• checked the battery
• changed the clutch
• checked the alternator
• changed the spark plugs

The only thing i didn't check was the wiring and eletrical part of the combustion

Welcome to the forum. Could you clarify what you mean by 'candles'? That's a term I am not familiar with.

Yep - I'm aware of that, but 'candles' threw me a curve. It well could be 'headlamps', but with the usage of "lights" in the post, I was scratching my head for other possibilities. Not unlike the terms bonnet & boot.

I would check the fuel pressure and make sure the catalytic converter is not plugged up.

Already checked the Fuel pressure with a mecanic, and the catalytic converter is Plugged, does it affects anything?

Yep....affects just about everything engine wise. Get a new cat and all will be good in the world.

I'm guessing he means the tails with the amber turns in them.
