Just going to have to learn to live with it. None of the pics holds a candle to a nice S10 crew.
S-10 Fuel Economy Questions 2002 Club Cab 4.3L
I live in the high country in Colorado 8850 elevation here in a small community. My truck is only getting 12.3 miles per gallon on the average. I get less than 200 miles out of a tank of gas. My truck was bought used a year ago. Have 157k mileage. ANYONE know of cheap way to increase my mileage. My daily drive habit consists of a five mile daily trip to take my granddaughter to her school. Very little or no highway miles, just my local store shopping trips, that about it. I will answer any questions presented to me .

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I thought when I retired I was going to have alot of time on my hands so I was planning on building one of the kits, the one I liked the best was the Audi a4/s4 kit. But as circumstance and life intervened. That did not happen. I had to retire earlier than expected and I found myself taking care of two young infants one now 19 months the other 6 years.
My plans to build a two door truck went out the window at that time. MY son and wife came up with the perfect answer and surprised me with my S-10. Please see examples of Audi conversion I was going to build . 2004 Audi a4 pickup Before and After shots

Here's what I have instead: 2002 Chevy S-10 LS 4 3 L Club Cab, I am very happy with it overall, I am in the process of changing from the factory gold to a gloss black. It was bought in Iowa over a year ago with 153k miles and for the miles and age in very good shape. I did fix some undercarraige rust. The only mechanical things I had to change so far is a water pump and alternator. My mileage 16 months later is now 157,700 so I haven't driven it much. Very pleased how it's looking and planning on keeping it forever. We own two other vehicles, Black Subaru Legacy, and Black Camaro SS, which is my wife's summer car.
