What up everyone,

My oil pan and valve covers are rusty and I’d rather not spend 10 hours scrubbing them. Has anyone ever used Metal Rescue with success? I’d like to just put the parts in a bath and call it good. I’m open to other suggestions as well.

Thanks,
Yowakawaka

If they are oily soak them in Purple Power overnight, then blast them. They'll look like brand new, and the degreaser will make sure the media doesn't stick to the parts.

Here's some before and afters that I did:

I dint have a sandblaster and I’d like to have the parts ready by the end of the weekend. They do look good tho.

I’m just gonna try the metal rescue. They sell it at Home Depot so it’s easy to get. A little costly tho. Hopefully it works!

I would suggest electrolysis. There are a bunch of videos on youtube you can find, but it is simple and cheap. It does take a little time to work, but I've used it with great success on everything from cast iron skillets to motorcycle gas tanks.
