I've had an intermittent P0440 code since getting my 2000 S-10 2.2L and believe I have found the cause, a deteriorating vaccuum hose. This is a 7/32" vaccuum hose which goes from the top of the throttle body to a T-fitting near the master cylinder splits off to a smaller hose which appears to go to the HVAC system and the other side goes into the fender and I suspect ends near the EVAP canister. My question is how much hose should I get to replace this? Has anyone done this before and if so how much of a pain is it?

Thanks,
Mark

Never mind, lol. The vaccuum hose in question goes into a fitting on the fender not through the fender. I hope that replacing the visible hoses fixes the issue. Can't see inside the fender to see the condition of the line but at the canister there is a short hose connecting to metal hose. Hopefully that continues into the fender and is intact. Will keep you posted on the results!
