I do hope this is the right sub section for this thread.
Anyway I have a 2003 chevy s10 6 cylinder 4.3 liter
I have my check engine light on ever since I bought it. I finally got around to getting it checked out.
Turns out that the fuel tank sensor is bad. I bought a new one.....
now how do i install it? do i have to take the gas tank off? hopefully not?

I tried looking up youtube videos for this and other instructions and i can't find anything. Normally I would just go buy the repair manual for this but in about 3 months im getting rid of this truck so im doing extreme minimal things to keep it going.

Where is the fuel tank sensor located?

if im understanding you correctly, the fuel tank pressure sensor is in the top of the fuel pump module, so drop the tank down

Also is that maybe why i get such terrible gas mileage, since it cant keep track of the pressure?
