I have a 98 LS that has the black trim with the chrome on top of that. I was curious how it comes off and what is the easiest way to take it off is. Also will there will be holes left behind. Thanks for all your help.

yup he's right, use a blow dryer to heat it up, might make it easier to pull off

well i took the molding off of my truck also. I used a hairdryer and a piece of monofilament fishing line to slip behind the molding and i worked it up and down as to "cut" through the adhesive. Its stuck on there pretty good so you might have to use something like wd40 to loosen up the adhesive. I think it would be a good idea to wash the area after you have removed it though. By using the hairdryer and monofilament, you don't scratch your paint. I don't know weather or not the adhesive would be strong enough to pull off some of the paint if you just pulled it off like it was. Hope this helps!
