I have an 84 2.8, and while discussing posible intake modifications, we realized that my truck has all the anti pollution crap, such as the air pump, hoses, etc. This stuff has to be sucking down my horsepower correct? how hard would it be to rip it off?

It's not worth the hassle IMO, no.

Actually I adding my polution stuff back on my truck, since it will run a little better and pass e-test then.

I ripped the air hoses, and pump off my 84 s15.
The vacuum from the pump doesnt affect the carb (as far as im concerned) But, I didnt feel ANY difference whatsoever, I just did it cause they were ALWAYS in the way!!!
And I dont have to worry about emissions anymore
