sts didnt have a 4.3 kit, but how hard you guys think it would be to custom fab a turbo onto the exhuast where the muffler sits? The hardest thing would be running an intake pipe to the front, and making hangars for it right? and you'd also have to run 2 oil lines back to the turbo - feed and return. But other than that, it sounds very simple. Mount a BOV, and run a downpipe to where the original stock tailpipe would run. Should a muffler be used in this application?

** edit.... was thinking, should one go with a internal or external wastegate?

are you talking about the rear-mounted turbos that sit near the mufflers?
The STS setup actually replaces the muffler with a turbo.
Check around the blowers and bottles forum for more information, I think I saw a thread about remote mounts already going.

It stays a little cleaner than you think. I mostly do F-bodies, and the filter is behind the tire and its not too bad. As far as water, I have him a dry charge sock.
It is an '02 Extreme Blazer. We did the turbo, limited slip, and a step saver.
I am trying to get him to do a stall next. It helps so much with the turbo.

Well, I am an STS dealer, so I used the STS pump. The turbo is a T04e, 60-1, .68 turbine housing, P-trim. Tial 38mm wastegate vented to atmosphere; for the most part, 2" pipe using mostly polished mandrel aluminum, with some stainless.
The pump works on 2 speeds; low when out of boost, and turns on high when it hits one psi. There is also a pressure switch on the return so if oil backs up, an alarm goes off.

thanks for that lil info..couple more questions if you dont mind.

who makes that turbo?
does sts sell parts or just kits?
can i buy the section of pipe that has the turbo and wastegate on it or do I need to fab that up?
are you running a BOV or just using the WG to control boost?
how mush did that system cost in parts only?
whats the hp goal for that system?

thanks man
