As far as I can tell, the stock filter relocation setup on my 88 4x4 is one of the worst designed POS that I've seen.

Has anyone used a standard relocation kit from one of the major suppliers (TD Performance, Permacool, etc.)? The problem I've been seeing while doing a little research on the net is that most, if not all of the relocation kits expect the engine mounted block to connect to a spin on type connection, as if there were an actual filter there before the "swap", and since ours are connected with 2 bolts, I'm a little confused as to what to do.

The reason for all of this, is the thing leaks like a sieve. The metal lines that connect the oil filter to the block have been cut and "patched back together" at some point before I own it, and even having replaced all of the o-rings, they still leak also.

Anyway, tell me what you all have done, and what sources you used.
