I have a 91 S10 w/4.3L approaching 200,000mi and am considering one of the remanufactured engines you find at Schucks, PEP boys, etc. The specs and warranty look great, but the low price makes me nervous. Appreciate hearing from anyone who has any info or experience with them. Thanks

All I can tell you is that dont make price to much and issue, look into ther rep or background of satisfying people with there products. My truck a 96, I accidently removed the remote oil filter from, blew the engine in 97. A new GM 4.3 complete was $2400, and remanufatured short block which is what I got, the rest was already new, was $650, with getting it installed $1400 ( All by GM and done by the dealer). So there not all that expensive in the first place and this was 5 years ago. Just make sure its either line honed or bored, crank been lined up, and reground , new rings and such!

ok no actual experiece here, just industry chatter
they replace as little as possible, and will take used parts off other engines to make one good one
